The CELPIP Exam in Brief

The CELPIP test is a fully computer-based English language assessment for such skills in the simulation of real-life contexts. Unlike any other tests, it provides a completely seamless experience of taking the test with sections performed wholly on the computer or a handheld device. The main components of this test include:

  1. Listening
  2. Reading
  3. Writing
  4. Speaking

There are two different kinds of CELPIP tests:

  • CELPIP-General Test, which testifies to immigration and professional intent and includes all four skills;
  • General LS Test – Tests only the listening and speaking skills, mostly for citizenship applications.

Choosing the Right CELPIP Test

This test that you choose will depend primarily on what you want to achieve with the test. If you need to be expert in all four language skills, the formula for testing will be the -General Test.
